 Geotechnical Engineering (Numerical Analysis & Modelling)
Location: Solihull, England
Salary: GBP4000 - GBP55000 per annum
International well respected multidisciplinary design consultancy in Solihull are looking to expand their Geotechnical team with a Senior Geotechnical engineer. They are looking for a candidate that specialises in numerical Modelling and analysis to deliver complex soil-structure interaction analysis problems.Candidates must have experience of delivering innovative geotechnical solutions for foundations, earthworks and retaining walls subject to seismic and dynamic loading.
I am looking to speak to a successful applicant that is an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a proven strong technical and project delivery track record on a wide veriety of schemes preferably specialise in Rail but not essential. Candidates should demonstrate good commercial skills that will help develop and expand our energy geotechnical capability in the seismic sectors
Candidate requirements:
• Very strong academic background with a relevant degree, degrees or equivalent
• Chartered Engineer status
• Substantial amount of complex design and analysis experience
• Familiarity with advanced site investigations; foundations, earthworks and retaining walls subject to seismic and dynamic loading
• Familiarity and considerable experience in the use of numerical modelling to ground structure interaction problems using commercially available finite element and finite difference packages
• Proven experience in a fast moving engineering consultancy environment
• Excellent commercial track record in running successful jobs
• Strong people skills and the ability to develop and lead a design team and to influence others
• Excellent report writing skills and the ability to self-check and produce accurate work
