JetSetting Divas recently went to Belize to celebrate Joy’s birthday and here are some helpful tips if you are planning to visit the island!

#1-Their hotel shuttle service greets you once you your bags pass through security.
#2-The staff will have a cold towel waiting for you to help cool off.
#3- You are greeted with a tall glass of Belizean Punch.
#4-Let them know you're celebrating a special occasion and the room will be decked out with personal details.
#5- Guest perks: happy hour everyday day, painting on the roof, cell phone with free minutes to use and an Ipad to name a few.
#6- If you leave the hotel for an excursion, the staff will call and check on your experience
There are tons of things to do while in San Pedro, but if you'd like explore other islands, you can do so via water taxi or TropicAir.
The best way to travel in Belize!
While traveling in Belize, you can get around by water taxi or air! We used both methods but we enjoyed traveling by air. You don’t want to spend most of your time on vacation stuck in transportation. This is whyTropic Air was our first choice for getting around! The customer service was amazing; everyone was so helpful and accommodating! The planes are small and hold anywhere from three to ten passengers. Traveling this way through Belize allowed us to travel between areas within 15 minutes!
The views were absolutely spectacular and we all, at some point on the trip, were given the chance to be a copilot. A must see in Belize: Xunantunich
On day 2 of our trip, we visited the Mayan Ruins of Xunanatunich translates to "Stone Woman". Back in the 1800s, a villager went hunting near this site where he saw a woman standing motionless near the opening of the cave. When he ran to tell other villagers of the sighting, she was gone. Many others have claimed to see this “Stone Woman” as well, but never able to get close enough to follow her into the cave.
The hike to the top of the “Stone Woman” was so awesome! Be sure to wear the proper shoes because as you get to the top, the stairs are very steep and narrow. It is worth the hike, trust us! The views are spectacular!
Hol Chan Marine Reserve & Shark Ray Alley
Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark & Ray Alley are two of Belize’s top tourist attractions! Nearest to San Pedro Island, it was about a 15-20 minute boat ride. You cannot visit Belize and not swim alongside sea turtles or even sharks! For both of these excursions, you do not need to be an excellent swimmer to participate. Life Jackets along with snorkel gear is provided on the boat. Make sure to have an underwater camera to capture the moments!! Light snacks (fruits) and beverages (alcohol) were provided on the boat.
For Shark & Ray Alley- It was only about a 15 min stop. The sharks in this area are nurse sharks and are considered to be harmless. If you do not want to get off of the boat you don’t have to! You can see the sharks and rays from the boat. After Shark and Ray Alley, we headed to Caye Caulker-one of our favorite areas!

When the locals mentioned how laid-back THEY. WERE. RIGHT! We started our journey there with a group of other travelers as an excursion and we only had about an hour to explore the island. Needless to say, we told our group to LEAVE US because we needed more time.it was just that fun and laid back. Great music played as we walked the island barefoot, ate at Enjoy Bar & Restaurant (BEST FOOD EVER!), while sitting on swings and enjoying the island vibe. The Belizean Punch is a must try while in Belize and especially Caye Caulker. The fun didn't stop after lunch. We decided to get Henna as a culmination to our great vacation.
