Truck Manifest
As part of the ACE Single Window effort, the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) will be collecting additional data on ACE Entries under their regulations and statutes. These entries will be reviewed for compliance and high risk by FWS and if applicable the entry may have a hold placed on them. These holds will result in a manifest hold on the Bill of Lading (BOL) associated to the entry.
The carriers will be receiving a new FWS disposition codes for these holds and hold removal that are published in Appendix D of the CATAIR for Ocean, Rail and Truck Modes of Transportation (MOTs). Ocean and Rail carriers will see that these are the same FWS codes published for the ACE Ocean and Rail Manifest transitions. CBP expects to begin using the new codes in certification and production by summer 2016. A CSMS message with the specific dates will be published as the soon as known.
The disposition codes for setting FWS holds:
G5 FWS Intensive Hold at Port of Discharge
LZ FWS Docs Required Hold at Port of Discharge
G6 FWS Intensive Hold at Port of In-bond Destination
M0 FWS Docs Required Hold at Port of In-bond Destination
The disposition codes for removing FWS holds:
G7 Remove FWS Intensive Hold at Port of Discharge
M1 Remove FWS Docs Required Hold at Port of Discharge
G8 Remove FWS Intensive Hold at Port of In-bond Destination
M2 Remove FWS Docs Required Hold at Port of In-bond Destination
