HERNANDO, Miss. (WJTV) – The man charged with capital murder in the death of Jessica Chambers is set to appear in court on Friday.

Quinton Tellis will make his first court appearance in Hernando. We’re told he is expected to enter a plea.

Jessica Chambers was found burning near her car in Panola County in 2014. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.

Tellis is also charged with first degree murder in the death of a Louisiana foreign exchange student.

Meing-Chen Hsiao attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She was found dead in August, 2015.

In May, Tellis pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of a credit card that belonged to the deceased ULM student.
