Graphics Team Advice & Tips #2: Let Us Help!
   This is a fun place for posters who want to be a part of the Graphics Team to ask for help (the right layout, pictures composition, correct brushes, and so on) by experienced Graphics Team members.  Please be advise that this is not a guarantee to get accepted into the Graphics Team. There's a process such as voting, discussion, and other things that takes place on the Graphics Team board in order for one to be accepted. If you have submitted graphics, you may be asked to submit an additional two. If you would like to use tutorials made by current and previous team members there is one written up by Soph (chaos blues) here and by Mel (running wild) here. Contact Mel for more information and to submit your graphics.  Bringing this back from the old thread: Lucy, the banner keeps looking better. I would really recommend you to follow Mel's guide here and here. Then, when you get the hang of it you'll probably find a way that works better for you. __________________

Thank you for bringing your tips for Lucy over into this thread, that is a good idea
 . I agree with Rora Lucy, looking at that guide and Jen's tips would be a lot of help for you to help find what it is we look for and improve your banners . |

That background is better, but you still have the straight line up the top. Maybe if you had it the other way around so the line was at the bottom that would be better
 . Your pictures still need to fill up the space more but your background looks a lot better now . |

I agree with Rae, also the taylor pictures should be blending with the background on the bottom of the banner so maybe try to brush some of it away like you did with the background.
You should try to arrange and size your pictures more like the one on the right. __________________

That is better, and no that is not what we meant. If you look at the examples in the OP see how with the females (Alexis and Adele) the three pictures are close up? That is what we meant

Lucy, that does look better however, for the graphic to work the pictures have to be more close up. Like this,

How do you normally resize images? You may be better off finding the pictures again, cutting them out as you had before and then find the best size for them. This is one way you can resize images but you should also be able to select the layer and resize the images by dragging out from the corner. Sorry I am not the best at explaining things so I hope that makes sense.
