Publisher's summary

Three Beech 1900 aircraft crash mysteriously. Josey Cantwell, aviation consultant and expert witness, and her partner, Brad Smith, former army aviator and CIA operative, are called in to help investigate the accidents.

While reviewing the logbooks of an employee who died in a Cessna 172 on his way back to work, Josey stumbles into a shocking conspiracy between the vice president of Viscount Air Transport and an entrepreneur in San Salvador.

The action never stops when word gets out that Josey might have discovered incriminating evidence that will blow the conspiracy wide open.

Great thriller

When I learned that Expert Witness: Wrongful Death has been nominated for the 2020 Voice Arts Award for Mystery/Thrillers, I was intrigued and jumped at the opportunity to review it, especially since it is performed by award-winning narrator Pamela Almand.

Author Judy Tarver invites us into the treacherous world of special investigations of the airlines industry with her first mystery thriller. Using her significant knowledge and expertise of over 40 years as a consultant and expert witness, she weaves a superb plot, filled with a lot of twists and turns.

Driven by a riveting story, filled with characters that feel alive and powered on by almost non-stop action, Expert Witness: Wrongful Death forced me to listen to it in just one sitting.

When we combine the author's flowing writing style with the superb performance delivered by Pamela Almand, we are pulled into a great narrative experience that's almost impossible to exit before it ends, and, hopefully, we will get a second novel in what could become a pretty enjoyable series in the future. Pamela Almand is a fantastic and a very talented narrator and she manages to tell this story with a combination of reading and acting. I really hope her work in Expert Witness will be recognized with another award, she truly deserves it.

I highly recommend Expert Witness: Wrongful Death to all those looking for an unputdownable action thriller and I hope we will get more of them!

Riveting novel with intrigue for everyone

This is a great listen for anybody interested in aviation and just for anybody wanting a good fastpaced mystery novel with a lot of action and plot twists, especially at the end. I liked the characters and the narrator did a super job. I listened to some of her other audiobooks but this author is new to me and I really enjoyed listening. She kept me on the edge of my seat and I kept driving around at the end to listen to the last couple of chapters. It sounded like we might hear more from Josie and Brad and I'm going to look for more of Ms. Tarver's audiobooks!

I couldn’t stop reading. (listening)

If you like a good mystery that seems like it could be real this is it.
The ending was a big surprise to me. Wow. I want to know if and when Judy will come up with a sequel.

Tght little mystery with great characters

This was a great aviation mystery by somebody who knows what she's talking about. The characters were all fleshed out well and voiced to perfection and enough variety to clearly know who's who. I would sure like to hear more adventures by Tarver with these characters. Lot of twist and turns and honestly didn't put everything together totally until the end and that sure left me wanting more to come.
