QUICK STEPS

How to download and print a PDF form during VDT/VDI downtime:

  1. Make sure you are using a desktop computer that is connected to a printer.
  2. Find and click on the PDF links (found below by category) for the forms you need. A dialogue box will pop up at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Click "Open" on the dialogue box that will open at the bottom of your web browser. This will open the form so you may print.
  4. Click on the printer icon in the top toolbar and select your local printer. Click on "Print" at the bottom of the dialogue box.
  5. Ask your unit clerk or charge nurse to ensure these forms are physically available on the unit for future downtimes.

DETAILED STEPS

Make sure you are using a desktop computer that is connected to a printer.

Find and click on the PDF links on this page, based on the category.

  1. At the top of the Wiki page, under Quick Steps, there are several categories of forms to choose from: Admission, Discharge, Transfer, Documentation, Labs and Imaging, and Medications. Find the form you need and click on the link. For example, you can find the General Admission and Transfer Orders form as seen below.

Download and print the PDF form. 

  1. Once you have clicked on the link to the form you want to print, a dialogue/download bar will appear at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Click "Open" to open the file in Adobe Acrobat.

  3. Click on the printer icon on the top toolbar.

  4. A "Print" dialogue box will open. After selecting the correct printer for your computer, click on the "Print" button at the bottom left to print.
