MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTThe Dark Menace, on behalf of the injured former two time Worlds Heavyweight Champion made a formal petition to the office of the NWA Commissioner Charlie Cox. That petition was for the return of a NWA tradition at the next Clash of the Champions scheduled for February 24th, 2013 live from the Bell Centre in Montreal Quebec. To get right to the point, the Dark Menace requested that Charlie Cox authorize the return of War Games. The Dark Menace then said that he and Chris Sinclair have already put together a team to take on any team that Brett Johnson can put together. A day later, after contacting "Crimson Dragon" Brett Johnson the match is on. War Games returns with team Sinclair taking on team Johnson. Up first, team representing team Sinclair: "Pure Original" Chris Sinclair "Enforcer" Bill Stubbington "Vigilante" Charles Seguin "Overnight Male" Andrew Radke & finally "Canadian Brawler" Richard Livingstone Representing Team Johnson: "Crimson Dragon" Brett Johnson "Stick" Nick Colley-Lussier Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana Magnum T.A. & finally Bobo Brazil The NWA hopes fans in Montreal and worldwide on PPV enjoy this return of a true mat classic.

TELEVISION TAPINGLIVE FROM THE OTTAWA CIVIC CENTRE IN OTTAWA ONTARIO JANUARY 4th, 2013 “Magnificent” Don Muraco defeated Val Venis via pinfall after nailing Venis with a second Hawaiian Hammer of the match at the 4:45 mark of the match. Venis opened the match quickly as he kept the stronger Muraco at bay for the opening minute, but Muraco was able to quickly over power Venis and then went to work on putting him away for the victory. With the victory Muraco picks up his first victory since Jim Cornette left for Stampede Wrestling. London & Kendrick (Paul London & Brian Kendrick) defeated the Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine) w/ “Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart via pinfall when Kendrick hooked Valentine for the pin following a Huracanrana at the 8:21 mark of the match. London & Kendrick used their speed to keep the Dream Team off balance the entire match as they first wore down Valentine before Beefcake even made it into the ring. Out of desperation Beefcake tagged the worn down Valentine back into the ring, only to have Kendrick make a quick comeback and nail the huracanrana. Jimmy Hart failed to distract the referee on his team’s behalf. “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig w/ Bobby “the Brain” Heenan defeated Koko B Ware via pinfall when he nailed Koko with the Hennig Plex at the 9:22 mark of the match. Hennig dominated most of the match but he couldn’t keep the Birdman down long enough to attempt the Hennig Plex until the very end of the match. “Cowboy” Bob Orton w/ “Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart defeated Angelo Mosca via pinfall when he nailed the big man with a second Superplex of the match at the 11:21 mark of the match. Mosca started the match strong as he tossed Orton around the ring for the opening minutes before Orton made the comeback and used his speed advantage to keep Mosca off balance as he worked to wear the big man down before picking up the victory. “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson defeated the Iron Sheik w/ Nikita Breznikov via disqualification at the 1:21 mark of the match while the two men were brawling on the outside of the ring and the Iron Sheik was disqualified for using some ring cables to choke out Danielson. Nick Bockwinkel & “Ravishing” Rick Rude w/ Bobby “the Brain” Heenan defeated George “the Animal” Steele & “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka via submission at the 19:30 mark of the match when Bockwinkel had Snuka locked in the Bockwinkel Sleeper and Rude prevented the Animal from making the save. This great back and forth match saw both teams nearly get the win several times throughout the contest, only to find the other team making the save. Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana defeated “Enforcer” Bill Stubbington w/ The Dark Menace via pinfall when he covered Stubbington who missed a top rope splash at the 13:21 mark of the match and the Dark Menace failed to distract the referee on his clients behalf. Twice in the match the Dark Menace managed to get the attention of Colt Cabana, which allowed Stubbington to regain the momentum, but only briefly as the former two time Worlds Champion was determined to pick up the momentum edge for Team Johnson as the February Clash of the Champions & the Team Johnson versus Team Sinclair War Games match inches closer. “King” Harley Race (c) w/ “Queen” Sherri Martel defeated Hillbilly Jim via pinfall when he nailed the big man with a brutal swinging neckbreaker at the 1:31 mark of the match to retain the OWA Championship. Race completely dominated the big Hillbilly in this match, after the match the OWA medical staff had to help an obviously shaken up Hillbilly Jim to the back as the reigning OWA Champion and his Queen celebrated in the ring. Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello & Roy Heffernan) (c) w/ “Wild” Red Berry defeated the Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell) via pinfall when they nailed B. Brian Blair with the Boomerang and prevented Jim Brunzell from making the save at the 23:39 mark of the match to retain the World Tag Team Championship. The Fabulous Kangaroos completely dominated the popular Bees in this one, and the match probably would have ended sooner if the referee hadn’t taken a serious blow that left him lying on the mat for several long minutes before he recovered to make the deciding pinfall. “King of Old School” Steve Corino (c) defeated “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan via pinfall when he hit Duggan with the Old School Expulsion at the 13:31 mark of the match to make his first successful of the Great White Championship. Duggan dominated most of the match and had a couple of near falls in his favor before Corino recovered and blasted him a couple of times with some sort of foreign object the Champion had stuffed down his tights. By the time Corino hit the Old School Expulsion for the victory Duggan was bleeding profusely.
