 RADIO:  Every morning at 6:20 Blois Olson previews the morning take on WCCO 830 AM with Dave Lee (@radiodavelee).

SPORTS:  The Twins lost 4-0 last night in Anaheim.
 
THREERINGS:  The Governor, the Vikings and GOP legislative leadership.  Yesterday’s turn in the stadium saga started at Governor Dayton’s bill signing media event for the Education event in the morning.  During the event, a Star Tribune reporter asked for some private time, at which time as he produced the “term sheet” of the GOP legislature’s bonding for the stadium proposal.  That move turned a relatively quiet day into a circus.  Starting via Twitter, buzz about the bonding plan started to come out.  Dayton called a pre-emptive news conference at 1:15, the Vikings followed, and the GOP wrapped up at 3:45.   MEDIA:  The media were clearly caught off and frustrated by, specifically House leadership’s defense of the timing and concept of the plan.
 
TODAY:  The legislature will not be in session, but there is an expectation that the Governor and legislative leaders will meet.  The question is after yesterday, who will request the meeting.
 
TODAY:  Governor Dayton’s public schedule release, VERBATIM:  “Governor Dayton plans to be at the Capitol for meetings with legislators and staff throughout the day.”
 
TODAY: via news advisory, VERBATIM: “CREDO Super PAC will be opening a campaign office in Duluth, MN, this Wednesday at 5:30 pm, as part of their campaign to defeat Rep. Cravaack in 2012. Rep. Cravaack, a Tea Party Republican, is being targeted by the CREDO SuperPAC’s “Take Down the Tea Party Ten” campaign”  BACKGROUND:  CREDO is running similar campaigns in 9 other Congressional Districts of Tea Party Republican House members, including Rep. Steve King (IA-05), Rep. Sean Duffy (WI-07), Rep. Allen West (FL-22), Rep. Joe Walsh (IL-08), Rep. Dan Lungren (CA-03), Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-08), and Rep. Frank Guinta (NH-01). 
 
TODAY: Rep. Erik Paulsen is holding a free Seniors Fair for area seniors. The Seniors Fair will include representatives from area organizations will be on hand to answer questions on topics such as Medicare, Social Security, Veterans Affairs, home healthcare, and senior housing. Health screenings for hearing and blood pressure, as well as free disposal of unwanted prescriptions and other household medications will also be available.

CD8:  via a release for later this morning, ENDORSEMENT:  Congressional candidate Jeff Anderson            announced this morning that the members and officers of the United Transportation Union (UTU) Alumni Association has unanimously     endorsed his candidacy for Congress in Minnesota’s Eighth Congressional District.  The UTU Alumni Association consists of United Transportation Union former officers and lifetime members from various locals across Northeastern Minnesota including Locals 1292, 1175 and 1067. The UTU locals represent railroad and aircraft workers across the region.

JOBS: via news release from the IRRRB, VERBATIM: Representative Tom Rukavina, Iron Range Resources and RehabilitationBoard (IRRRB) Chair (Tony Sertich), has scheduled a special meeting of the IRRR Board for Friday, May 4, 2012 at the IRRRB Administrative Offices in Eveleth, Minn... At the meeting, the IRRR Board will consider a $2 million capital investment in the DeCare Dental facility in Gilbert. The company projects that the expansion will add an additional 120 full-time positions to its existing 158 jobs as its business grows.

MOVE:  Retiring Rep. John Kriesel is the new Veterans Services leader for Anoka County.
 
MOVE:  fmr. Pawlenty staffer, and U of MN Media maestro, Jeff Falk is headed to Rice University to serve as  associate director, national media relations.   He will be working on efforts for Rice’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, named after James Baker III.   He joins former U of MN staffers, David Ruth and Linda Thrane.
