QUEERS! The time has come to sign up for Clam Slam 2014. We will have another double header this year.  The first bout will feature The Plaid Mafia vs. Team UHaul and will be for beginner/intermediate. The second bout will feature The Clam Diggers vs The Eager Beavers and is for intermediate/advanced skaters.

Clam Slam is a derby bout to highlight, showcase, and support queer skaters. It is a space centred around queer athletes that are often marginalized in mainstream organized sports. Clam Slam is open to all Queer skaters who have a valid insurance number regardless of skill level or league affiliation.  We have already had tremendous skater interest in this event.  It is important to note that we only have 64 spaces for skaters and anticipate we will have more people wanting to sign up than we have space for.

Don’t identify as queer and want to show support? We need LOTS of volunteers at Clam Slam to help make this event happen! Allyship in the form of holding and setting up the space so that queer skaters can have an awesome time would be AMAZING and so much appreciated!

Clam Slam is hosted by ToRD and GTAR and is a 2014 World Pride Affiliate Event occurring on June 26,2014 at Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto, ON. Doors will open at 6PM.
