Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are "beating down my door", begging for piano lessons. Please help me facilitate their dreams to learn how to play like their favorite artists.
Musician, educator, and composer Zoltan Kodaly stated: "Real art is one of the most powerful forces in the rise of mankind, and he who renders it accessible to as many people as possible is a benefactor of humanity." (1954).
Please help make piano education accessible at my school. We need pianos!!
We are a magnet high school located in California. The students are talented and highly motivated. Many come from challenging financial situations. Please help me to provide them with the highest quality music education possible- they deserve it!
My Project
The Yamaha Piaggero NP-11 gives a classic Yamaha piano tone and 61 full-sized keys in an ultra-portable package, weighing in at just 10 pounds. Operating on just 6 AA batteries, a power outlet is not necessary to play the piano anywhere the music takes you. Yamaha has added an easy-to-use panel design with dedicated Voice-select buttons. A built-in metronome with adjustable tempo and time signature appeals to the pianist who knows that practice makes perfect.
My students are HIGHLY motivated to learn to play the piano.
The class for next year has 32 spaces that are already filled, and there are over 80 students on a waiting list. Please help so that I don't have to turn any of these students away. We REALLY need pianos!
