Caroline Wozniacki imitates Serena Williams by stuffing towels in her top and bottom

Caroline Wozniacki impersonates Serena Williams at an exhibition in Brazil.

Andy Roddick has done it.

Novak Djokovic has done it.

Now Caroline Wozniacki is getting into the Serena Williams imitation business.

At a recent exhibition against Maria Sharapova in Brazil, the former world No. 1 stuffed towels in various places to replicate the body of the curvaceous Grand Slam champion. It drew the regular laughs but was an overall disappointment seeing as how Wozniacki didn't take the impression any further.

If you're going to be Serena, hit your return with ferocity and glare at a linesperson. Hold up a picture of Kim Kardashian and listen to Green Day. Do something.

I can take off my shirt and say I'm imitating Matthew McConaughey, but if I don't start every sentence with "all right, all right, all right" and overuse the words "ladies," then what was it all for?

Of course Sharapova lost the point she played against Wozniacki's Serena. She hasn't defeated the real Serena in eight years so even the mere sight of a Serena impersonator caused Sharapova to get the yips and yank a backhand wide. It's amazing she didn't double fault.

This could be an effective strategy for all future Sharapova opponents. The Russian was 14-6 against top-10 players not named Serena Williams in 2012. She was 0-3 against Serena. Maybe a few towels in the top and on the rear could change the fortunes of the rest of the top 10. Sharapova would never know the difference.
