2014 Dartmouth Sustainability Awards Nomination Form
The Dartmouth Sustainability Office invites you to nominate members of the Dartmouth community for a Sustainability Award! Nominations are due Wednesday 4/9/2014 by Midnight! Award recipients will be announced at the Celebration of Sustainability & 3rd Annual Sustainability Awards during Earth Week, on Thursday, 4/24/2014 @5pm in the new Loew Auditorium.

Guidelines:
--    Nominees may be an individual or group of students, faculty or staff from any area of the college.
--    Nominations must fall within a single award category. See below for category descriptions. Groups consisting of students,  faculty, and staff working together, may be nominated. Please pick the category in which you feel the group best fits.
--    Nominee has significantly advanced sustainability leadership at Dartmouth and/or in the world.
--    Feel free to submit multiple nominations!
--    You may nominate yourself.

We will be presenting awards in 3 categories. Descriptions of each category below:

1. FACULTY SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT— An individual or group of faculty who, both within and beyond the classroom, have devoted time and energy to furthering sustainability at Dartmouth and beyond. They are focused on bringing greater depth and perspective to Dartmouth’s sustainability conversation, driving practice based learning, and tying work on campus to issues around the globe.They have creatively and continuously integrated sustainability values and themes into their course curricula, research, and additional projects. They encourage and excite students and their peers to engage with sustainability on campus and beyond!

2. STUDENT SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT– Award for an individual or group of students that has worked to generate interest, excitement, and action for sustainability behavior change at the student level. They have effectively coolified sustainability among the student body, integrated it into the student culture and important campus conversations, and carried their energy and enthusiasm for sustainability action to Hanover and the world beyond.

3. STAFF SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT-- An individual or group who has contributed overwhelmingly to furthering sustainability in their area of the college. They have integrated sustainability values and actions into their general responsibilities at the college and are working on the most fundamental level to make Dartmouth greener! They think carefully and strategically about how to push Dartmouth towards becoming a global sustainability leader and have devoted extensive time to action.

How are they working to move the needle on sustainability leadership here at Dartmouth and/or in the world? How has their initiative and leadership sparked behavior change and creative thinking in their area of the college, community or the world? How have they brought sustainability values to a unique and diverse group of individuals?  
Information on Selection Process
* The Sustainability Office will review all nominations, identify the top 8-10 nominees  in each category, and notify these nominees.
* Winners will be selected from among the top nominees by the AWARDS SELECTION COMMITTEE (made up of students, faculty, and staff from across the college). Only one winner will be named in each category.
* Winners will be announced at the Celebration of Sustainability, Thursday, April 24th, 2014, 5-6:30pm in the Loew Auditorium.
* Winners and nominees will receive recognition of their work across the college.
