Danny Ferrington is one of the greatest luthiers of our times. It is a great representation of the history of the guitars he has built for some of the greatest artists of all time. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates guitars and the ability of their creative builder.
When I ran a music store in his hometown his dad, Lloyd, would frequently come by and keep me apprised about what and who he was building another custom instrument.
This book should be in every guitarist’s library.

I recently started to learn the art of making guitars and I was told that this book would be a good source of inspiration. That's just it! A very good source for unconventional guitar making. It will open your eyes as to what is possible, both aesthetically and functionally. Plus, it makes for a good coffee table book.

The book gives a great history of the guitars and the artists that play them. I would highly recommend that you make sure you get the CD with the book. While some of the tracks do not seem long enough, leaves you wanting to hear more, it is great to hear the different tones styles of play. I would recommend this to any music/music history lover.
