I bought this at the same time as a GSI Soloist cook set. This will nest inside of that system and provide an additional cooking container and insulated drink cup. This will maintain a hot liquid beverage at drinkable temp for up to an hour. This should be included in a set along with the GSI Soloist.
I'm not a young Soldier any more. These days I still have the desire to be in the wild but can't carry the load I once did - this type of technology is HOOAH! I can cook my oatmeal, make coffee, and prepare any mini-gourmet chow I choose. My heater and stove fit perfectly making my pack small and lighter. This makes a perfect small set when you want to travel with a minimum of gear.
