I am an American Sailor's Wife!
I keep the team at home together for you
I serve my Sailor in Navy ways
and do what is expected of me on the home front.
I will always keep my mission of a loving home
for when you return and longer.
I will NEVER quit or leave or lose our love for each other.
I will knowingly take your responsibilities on as if you are here yourself.
I will take myself to the heights you have taken me and not fall.
I am an expert as your wife and I am a professional at
taking care of your home and children while you are away.
I stand ready for any and all situations which may arise.
I am the guardian of my husbands home and love...
I am an American Sailor's Wife!

I think that is the longest time I have had one thread open since i got here! Still nothing new to report.

Well, not true. D9 made honor roll and D5 was citizen of the month for her class for the month of February. We laughed ouselves silly about that one, as she is my chronic liar and the citizenship trait was honesty! Well, at least she is telling the truth at school.

My niece's BF (the girl who came and stayed with me for a couple of days when DH first left) lost her mother last Thursday morning. The memorial was today. The mother was only 51, but had been in poor health for quite sometime. The family is taking it very hard and mom, my sister, and I did everything we could to ease their burden. We took care of making sure there was food for after the memorial service. This family is like an extended part of ours--the girls have been friends for almost 7 years. Please keep their family in your prayers.

Other than that, I am still praying, praising, and worshiping the Lord, knowing that HE is working things out in His time and way. We are on the short side of deployment and DH has still not said anything about his plans for when the ship returns. He is sharing more about the bills and the emails are getting longer again. I guess we are friends again. I will be glad when the Lord restores my best friend to me, though. I used to be able to talk to my DH about anything.

Hi Hon!
I am sorry about your friend. I am starting to think more and more that life is a present we get and we should make sure NOT to waste it... I am seriously an inch away from the door that says "WELCOME TO THE MLC H$LL!!!!". I can actually feel my brain working backwards...LOL Ohh well, I guess one can snap pretty easily and I tried hard to keep it together the last couple of years... Maybe it's time. \:D

You are a strong woman and your family and DH are lucky to have you...

I posted on your thread about this one. I hope you receive it the way it was intended. And, I owe you a drink. How about a hot Caramel Apple Cider? They are yummy and decadent, but perfect to drink during the day due to lack of alcohol.

Yeah, I am REALLY proud of both of them! We won't discuss D17's report card except to say How the HECK do you fail Driver's Ed two years in a row???/ And she wonders why I won't sign for her to get her permit!!!

haha, you know I would never mention her failing, she will learn on her own. she obviously isn't putting forth the effort, but eventually she will.

You should definitely take those two girls out though!

i am going to take the kids out this weekend--Saturday if the inlaws do not come up, Sunday if they do. We are going to go tackle the batting cages! I have not done it in a long time and I LOVE to whack at some softballs!! Last weekend was too hectic--we had something going on all weekend. Also, I will post a couple pics in the alternate. Wait til ya'll see my new 'do! I colored my hair a pretty golden blonde--almost strawberry, but with more gold to it. I also cut off about 4-5 inches. D17 says it looks very 80's rocker chick, in a good way! I have gotten tons of compliments on it--the sitter who watched the littles did not even recognize me when I walked in the door Saturday evening.

D9, the queen of subtlety, said that it made me "look lots younger and way prettier". I guess I was old bread before I got it done! \:D She also went on to say that "Daddy is going to love you new hair, Mommy!" Wouldn't that be nice! I love it, so who cares! I have already scheduled a touch-up for the week before DH comes home. I am also going to take all the girls to get manicures the day before. My mom has said she will watch the boys that day. I am not going to watch my great-nephew that Thursday and Friday--I deserve the break before DH comes home. I am also seeing a massage in my near future.

All is good here. Classes restart on Wednesday. Constitutional Law Theory this week. I am sure that it will get interesting, as I have such a conservative view point, but I am looking forward to it.
