A Little Gratitude Can Go A Long Way

1.

Cut out (or print) a heart.

2.

Write a message of gratitude for healthcare workers on it.

3.

Put it on your front door.

ABOUT

After reading about what small towns in British Columbia and the United States were doing to thank healthcare workers, the idea behind The Beating Heart Project started. The name, Beating Heart, comes from the fact that our healthcare workers are the beating heart of society in the midst of this pandemic. The mission of this project is to show support and gratitude to the healthcare workers who are sacrificing a lot and protecting us.

This project was started by Anoosha Keshav, a grade 11 student from Mississauga, ON. Anoosha is a volunteer at Trillium Health Partners - Mississauga Hospital and is an aspiring physician who is passionate about healthcare. She created this project to honour and thank frontline staff, such as respirologist Dr. Revital Wanono, one of her mentors.

It would be highly appreciated if you participate and spread the message with your friends and family.

What can I do to help fRONTLINE WORKERS?

  • Show your appreciation (ex. Participating in the Beating Heart Project)

  • Donate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

  • Offer to run errands or babysit children of frontline workers

  • Send a thoughtful text or email to a frontline worker you know personally

  • But most importantly, stay home and practice social distancing
