On Wednesdays, we’ll introduce the students who make up Year 8 of High School Confidential, powered by Danville Area Community College. Next up: Heritage’s Lilli Montgomery. Follow her on Snapchat (@lillianmon06).

Her classmates were happy to surround and celebrate Lilli Montgomery during their trip to The News-Gazette on Sunday, where the High School Confidential correspondent from Homer sheepishly received the royal treatment.

“I’m not one that loves to be the center of attention, but it was nice to be acknowledged for my work by my peers,” she said.

Montgomery prefers to tell of fellow Hawks in her role as reporter, “shining a light on the fun and different things we do at Heritage,” the senior said. “I like to use this opportunity to really showcase how much Heritage does with how small we are.”

The future Parkland College volleyball player is a three-sport star (also cross-country and track), president of student council, National Honor Society secretary and a member of science and art clubs.

“I know these next few months will go by fast,” she said, “but I’m looking forward to spending time with my friends, going to track meets and volleyball tournaments (with Prime Time), and just soaking in all that I can with my classmates and teachers in the halls of Heritage.”
