Bravo (Classic) Fiat Bravo 155 HGT

Introduction

Hey folks,

Did a deal with Bushboy yesterday and now own his old Bravo 155 HGT :slayer:

You can read about it when he had it here: https://www.fiatforum.com/members-motors/337865-fiat-bravo-hgt-155-a.html

Nothing really to say yet but thought I would start up a thread to post updates to as and when they happen..

I don't really have a plan to make lots of changes to it at the moment but we will see how it goes. Right now I am thinking i might change the wheels but to what i am not sure, but think 16s would look better than the 15s. And tempted to try get the back a little lower to match the front.

Here is a few photo's, sorry my pics aren't as professional as Bushboy's, They are taken on my super old phone - In future i will try get some with a proper camera

Pretty sure wasn't fully resprayed

Angelo only told me about the front bumper and I recall a section of the bootlid as it had a dent.

I don't know the full story behind it sorry. Angelo likes having all of his cars re sprayed and look immaculate. I know he had told me this had been re sprayed when he was at Mitcar a few years back. however how much of the car to have the work I'm unsure :(

If you check out the original thread you will see that F1ANG tried big Coupe wheels on the car and they looked crap, especially compared to the excellent and distinctive wheels that Fiat fitted from new..

As for lowering the rear end... ????(n)

It looks great as it is, keep it that way I reckon, there should be plenty to occupy you just keeping it going and looking tidy. (y)(y)

wheels are at the end of the day a personal taste thing... I'm not gonna go an whack massive boy racer wheels on it or anything - I am only looking at oem fiat alloys off different cars, had a look at that thread and no I don't like it on them wheels, but with different tyres they would have looked better, too much sidewall for a 16". But as i said, its a very personal preference wheel choice, if they change they will be changed to my liking no-one elses - I'm not here to keep the masses happy, I'm here to do what pleases me. Stock wheels will be kept whatever happens so they can always be put back.

As for the rear, not 100% on that either was just a thought - the front is really quite low and just think it might look better if the rear dropped a little bit more to match, it doesn't really look like the rear dropped all that much when Bushboy fitted the lowered springs to me but the front is proper low.

Loving that yellow one CFREITAS.. They are the wheels Bushboy was suggesting i think and the ones i agree look good but are kinda predictable choice. I'm a bit skint now anyway so for the forseeable future nothing really is gonna change (except one thing that cfreitas knows about already, will update will its here)

Well got almost complete airbox setup from CFREITAS delivered by UPS (many thanks Carlos!) - As a result I think i got a little bit of a taste of how this car is gonna be lol.. The old mutilated airbox came out easy enough - just lifted out the top no problem. Tried to drop the unchopped airbox back in and it was never gonna go.... Had to jack it up and take the wheel off and pull the inner arch out to get it into place, right faff lol.

Looks much better (y) forgot to take a pic though, will do soon.

Does anyone have item 1 on this pic?

I also don't have 12, 16 & 17 - not sure what them brackets are for, anyone?

17 supports part 6 onto the slam panel, 12 is the screws for part 17 and 6.

I am making a total guess on part 16 but I think it could be a support going from the cylinder head to the underside of airbox/resonator (part 4) that sits just above the gearbox/thermostat. So if im right you might already have that.

yeah i think you are right on number 16 actually... And I think i can live with not having the little support for the resonator if thats all it does - i got fixings at either end and its solid enough (y)

Just need to find number 1 - might still be available from fiat, will have to check cause can't imagine there is a huge number of spares of any part of this car kicking about lol.

Nice looking motor this, don't know why I have never liked them but I love the idea, just not a fan of the Brava/o.

Always wondered how similar these engines are to the Coupe item.
