NCDA Conference

Every year we come together to acquire new skills, learn about new advances in our field, and to network with old and new friends. The National Career Development Conference is a time when we recommit ourselves to our profession.

This year's conference will be no exception! As President of NCDA, it is with enthusiasm that I invite you to participate in the 2009 NCDA Global Conference in St Louis, Missouri, the Gateway to the West, July 1 – 3, with Pre-conference activities starting on June 30^th.

The theme of the 2009 Conference is Inspiring the Career Development Practitioner. There has never been a time when the needs of our clients, customers and students have been as great as now when people in our country are experiencing economic stress and an uncertain and confusing labor market. Meeting the demands of the people we serve is challenging and we need all the knowledge, techniques and skills we can muster to provide the exemplary service they deserve and expect.

The NCDA Conference PDIs, skill building and learning sessions will be focused on practice with solid information and new approaches that we can take away and use.

The conference location is a combination of old and new. Recognized as a Historic Hotel of America, The Hyatt Regency Hotel reflects the beauty of its train station origins with towering ceilings and beautiful mosaics and provides modern conveniences in its meeting and guest rooms. After conferences sessions, enjoy the Union Station mall, Busch Stadium, the Arch and the events on the river. Stay for the Fourth of July celebration as well.
