Wanadoo UK domain 'suspended'

Orange ISP blames 'small administrative oversight'

There are red faces at Wanadoo UK - France Telecom's UK ISP which will be renamed Orange from next year - after one of its business domains was "temporarily" suspended yesterday afternoon.

FSBusiness.co.uk - which dates back to when Freeserve (renamed Wanadoo last year, btw) offered net services to, erm, businesses - fell off the web after its registration was "suspended" by domain registrars Nominet.

A Wanadoo spokesman told El Reg: "There was a small administrative oversight that resulted in the fsbusiness.co.uk domain to be temporarily suspended yesterday afternoon. We would like to apologise for those users affected but we were able to remedy the problem quickly."

Nominet is currently processing a "renewal request" from Wanadoo UK. ®
