Hi guys,

I know this mod is going to be a marmite mod, but i like it and i think it suits well....

Is there any reason the S3 badge is on the right? If not I think it would look better back on the left. Apart from that I do like it pal

I'm not 100% sure either. Maybe i will get used to it. I think its to do with the placement of the badge, which leads me onto S3 Hoggy's quote....

I thought that would be the best place for it, but i need to try either the same slat on the left or back in the original slat it used to be in on the original grille.

Can you actually get the badge off without removing the full bumper again to get to the back of the grille?

I <3 Dolphin Grey. I do like that though mate, cleans the front end up very nicely!
 
Looks mean Shaun, for me it would look even better with the S3 badge removed.

Nah.....S3 badge is staying, can't have people thinking its a lesser spec A3 :)

someone needs to make an rs4 mesh grill, that would look rude. not me though, im not brave enough

Lol, I thought the same when I removed mine but kept the one on the back so people know what it is when I fly past them :cool:

Each to their own. I like the S3 badge on the front grille, just dont know exactly where yet :)

Thanks Sandra. I will be messing about with the badge after work tonight. Think its going to end up in the original S3 slat.

I got it from a German Audi modification import company, whom i believe also do mesh RS4 grilles......

yes, I'm certainly not disagreeing with you. I simply question the attractiveness/beauty of non-identity, but I suppose it's in the eye of the beholder.

It's not the non-identity that is the attractiveness for me, it's more about clean, complimenting lines to the rest of the car. Less clutter with the audi rings gone. Personally i think the audi rings make them resemble a pig....maybe not so much the 8L chassis but the later ones especially. My personal opinion, everyone may think i'm wierd but hey ho! :)
 
Looks good mate. Id black out the headlights now though. Stand out too much. My cars the same since i blacked out the whole front end. Mines worse though as its a black car. Just a thought for ya. Daz

How did you black out the lights? I've heard laquer with a drop of black is the best way....

Loving it ! look's the dogs nuts with the grey to mmmmmmmmmmmm. i really want to do this just wondering if it would look odd on mine as it is ebony black. you got a link for us ? will the same grille fitt my facelift 8L i noticed yours was.

Might look nicer on black. The grille will fit your facelift S3, as long as you state its a facelift '00-'03 S3. Link below:

Yeah i went for black style 1, as its an exact replica of the original minus the Audi rings. I'm very particular with things like that lol
