This method shows how to enable the Developer tab in Word and insert a frame using the Legacy Forms tool.
- Enable the "Developer" tab:
- In Word 2010 and later: go to "File" > "Options".
- In Word 2007: click the "Office" button > "Word Options".
- In the "Word Options" dialog:
- For Word 2010 and later, click "Customize Ribbon" in the left pane, check the "Developer" box in the right pane.
- For Word 2007, click "Popular" in the left pane, and check "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon".
- For Word 2010 and later, click "Customize Ribbon" in the left pane, check the "Developer" box in the right pane.
- After enabling the Developer tab, click "Developer" > "Legacy Forms" > "Insert Frame". Then drag to draw a frame where needed.
