Novels mentioned in Among Others by Jo Walton
A list of books mentioned in Jo Walton's "Among Others". This book is, among other things, a love letter to science fiction... so it provides many reading suggestions. :)

I tried to "vote" for some of the books you are missing in this list. But I think it's a private list. Could you add the zelazny and leguins and t.s. eliot and all the others that Mori reads? Or make the list open to vote for everyone?

I just added a ton, literally 100 of them, but I didn't get all the way to the end (about when Mori comes back after having been at Daniel's house, resting). I can't add any more.
There are a few doubles: Babel-17, Left Hand of Darkness, the Dispossessed, Lathe of Heaven. Great idea for a list!
You've added Dragonsinger/Dragonsong separately and as a single book. You also did the same with Cooper's Dark is Rising books.
That said, I'm glad you did this list because I was thinking of creating one before I found this.

Thanks, Rachel! I was trying to psyche myself up to make this list and am glad someone else did it first.
Who the eff stuck Mitch Albom and Chuck Palahniuk on this list? Any librarians here who want to remove those?
Hi, original starter of the list here (though others did most of the work!) I can't seem to de-dupe or remove any of the books as long as at least one person voted for them. Until someone with admin rights comes along, we'll just need to use this imperfect biblio. :)
Not your fault, I know, Rachel. I really wish the listopia was set up so that the author of each list could remove items.
I'm fairly certain these weren't mentioned in Among Others... Okay to delete?
It by Stephen King
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk
Sphere by Michael Crichton
Diary by Chuck Palahniuk

I'm fairly sure The Man in the High Castle wasn't mentioned in AO, as I haven't read it. And I don't remembering mentioning Make Room, Make Room either.
But great work compiling this, wow.

Ha. This is the passage for Man in the High Castle:
WEDNESDAY 13TH FEBRUARY 1980
Hussein led the meeting, and we didn’t just talk about Pavane, but also Brunner’s brilliant Times Without Number and Dick’s The Man in the High Castle (which I haven’t read) and Ward Moore’s Bring the Jubilee and the whole idea of having para-history.
I can't find Make Room, Make Room doing a search in my ebook version.
