___ Senate Intelligence Committee ___

This is where the last stand is taking place.

Even in the current political environment, Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee are going to be looking at a hard slog. It is going to take additional and ongoing pressure on the Republican committee members in order to obtain the slightest hint of cooperation. The Republicans who control the agenda on this committee are acting as the final firewall preventing a complete gutting of the Republican party on the war in Iraq, secret prisons run by CheneyCo and torture of captives.

As I have mentioned, there are two Nazgűl on this committee, and Pat Roberts is the committee chairman... He is the leader of the Nine.

These are the people on this committee who need to get the message that obstruction of justice is just as much as political crime as it is a criminal felony:

Pat Roberts: Nazgűl

202-224-3514 - fax

Kit Bond: Nazgűl

No fax

Orrin Hatch
http://hatch.senate.gov/index.cfm?FuseAction=Offices.Contact
202-224-6331 - fax

John Warner: Nazgűl wannabe, didn't have the balls to vote for torture tho.
http://warner.senate.gov/contact/contactme.cfm
202-224-6295 - fax

Bill Frist: Another wannabe
http://frist.senate.gov/index.cfm?FuseAction=AboutSenatorFrist.ContactForm
202-228-1264 - fax

Trent Lott
http://lott.senate.gov/index.cfm?FuseAction=Contact.Email
202-224-2262 - fax

Chuck Hagel

I am ashamed of the entire Bush regime!
impeachbush.org -please

our soldiers were protecting us...
but they should not have died for lies, or dollar $igns...
please indict the Bush Regime for High Treason...
they have watched thousands of innocents die -
I did not vote for this little man...but I vote for his
impeachment...
_____________

The Battle Hymn of the Republic,
Updated was written in 1901 by Mark Twain,
as a parody of American imperialism,
in the wake of the Philippine-American War.

It is written in the same tune and cadence as the original Battle Hymn of the Republic.
and so history repeats ~ today...

now it is a hymn of WAR... the name has been changed to~

The Terror Hymn of the Republic -

Lyrics
Mine eyes have seen the orgy of the launching of the Sword;
He is searching out the hoardings where the stranger's wealth is $tored;
He hath loosed his fateful lightnings, and with woe and death has scored;
His lust is marching on.

I have seen him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps;
They have builded him an altar in the Eastern dews and damps;
I have read his doomful mission by the dim and flaring lamps--
His night is marching on.

I have read his bandit gospel writ in burnished rows of steel:
"As ye deal with my pretensions, so with you my wrath shall deal;
Let the faithless son of Freedom crush the patriot with his heel;
Lo, Greed is marching on!"

We have legalized the strumpet and are guarding her retreat;*
Greed is seeking out commercial souls before his judgement seat;
O, be swift, ye clods, to answer him! be jubilant my feet!
Our god is marching on!

In a sordid slime harmonious Greed was born in yonder ditch,
With a longing in his bosom--and for others' goods an itch.
As Christ died to make men holy, let men die to make us rich--
Our god is marching on.

* NOTE:

*god = money

A long time ago, Jean Shepherd, who was one of the great talents in radio, told a story about how his army unit was reassigned mid-WWII and how they created a movement of resistance (by simulating utter incompetence) which led to the reassignment being annulled. One of his points was that there may be a consensus toward movement, but there has to be one guy who articulates it, one guy who shouts, "Let's all go burn down city hall!"

You're the guy. And you're work on Jane and ReddHedd's site has opened eyes and given backbone to those who might not have ever carried a pitchfork before. Keep it up. We CAN win this fight. We must.

Heh... You think Iraqis are tough ;)

Thank you for the complement. It has not been an easy road to get us this far... But we are stronger, we feel better, we have a lot of fight left to give.

They are going down - HARD :o

And please drop by and visit the dishonest, unpatriotic, "radical left-wing" conspirators that are making this happen at:

The Democreats need a positive project to move from crtique of the ruling party to something original.
I suggest:
Reduce the number of prisoners in the USA who is the biggest GULAG on the planet. At least, make the absolute number of detainees less that in China!
Then, we may call themselves if not a land of freedom but at least not a land of prisons.
