The Baruch College School of Public Affairs invites you to an information session with the U.S. Department of State immediately following the Social Impact Career Fair on Friday, February 27, 2015. The U.S. Department of State has a number of internships and fellowships that enable students and young professionals to obtain work experience in a challenging and exciting foreign affairs environment. Many students work in Washington, D.C. and others have the opportunity to work at one of more than 270 U.S. embassies and consulates abroad.

BIO:
Ana Escrogima is a Foreign Service Officer currently serving as the Diplomat in Residence at City College of New York. Prior to this assignment, she was the Deputy Director for Syria in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the Department of State, where she advised senior State Department leadership and managed an experienced team of Foreign Service and Civil Service Officers responsible for implementing U.S. policy on Syria. Ana is a fluent Spanish, French and Arabic speaker. She was born and raised in New York City and is thrilled to be back home serving as the U.S. State Department and Foreign Service's representative to the students, faculty and educational institutions of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
