Obituary of Stacee Saldin

Saldin, Stacee L. Age 55, of Bloomington passed away from cancer September 28, 2020. Preceded in death by father Michael Charles Mckay. A loving mother, daughter, wife, and friend Stacee spent her free time hanging out on the deck with friends, reading books, and crafting. She had every tool one could ever need to finish a project or craft. She had restored a small cabinet which she rightfully dubbed her “Crafting Cabinet” and would sternly remind you to return whatever you borrowed from it. If you came to her with something that needed to be repaired or updated, she would know exactly what to do. Whether she was spray painting, gluing or customizing wall art she was always busy with a project.

She liked watching true crime shows, listening to KQRS, and reading cheesy romance novels. On a hot summer day she would go in and out of the house like an indecisive cat not sure if she was too hot or too cold. In the winter she would be curled up on the couch in a heating blanket, wearing fuzzy socks, and watching hallmark christmas movies. She would decorate the house with her signature collection of snowmen and hang stockings for Nicole and Daniel at the top of the stairs.

She passed away suddenly after eleven days at the University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank Hospital. She went in on Friday with a severe headache and ear pain. After an initial MRI, it came back that she had an infection in the bone behind her ear that would need surgery to clear. It was later found to be cancer. Her cancer spread quickly and aggressively from the bladder to her lungs, lymph nodes, adrenal glands, brain, liver, and right ear. She passed away surrounded by her husband and children while listening to Fleetwood Mac. She was cremated at the cremation society of Minnesota and her urn resides at her home with her husband and cat Xena.

She spent her entire career working in the financial industry as a financial assistant. She was an honest, funny person, always willing to lend an ear. Survived by loving husband of 17 years, Tony; children, Daniel and Nicole; mother Pat (Carl); brothers Shawn (Lina), Scott (Monica); niece, nephew, uncles, and a multitude of friends. She is dearly missed.
