The Olympic Peninsula Wineries’ Red Wine & Chocolate is BACK!

The Olympic Peninsula Wineries’ Red Wine & Chocolate is BACK!

The Olympic Peninsula Winery Association’s Red Wine & Chocolate Tour started on the Olympic Peninsula over 20 years ago and was held annually, until COVID. This year, Red Wine & Chocolate returns as a Festival!

Don’t miss this event! February 17, 12-6pm at the 7 Cedars Hotel & Casino

The Wineries are pleased to announce that Red Wine & Chocolate is back in 2024, returning as a Festival, with all participating wineries under one roof to eliminate winter traveling between tasting rooms, and to provide more wine and chocolate pairing opportunities.

Full-Access Experience ticket holders will enjoy:

  • Wine Tastings (10 each)
  • Commemorative Wine Glass
  • Chocolate Samplings
  • Discounted Bottle Purchases
  • Live Music, Featuring Local Smooth-Jazz Talents

Discounted Designated Driver tickets and local shuttles are also available.

The seven featured wineries are:

  • Camaraderie Cellars
  • Eaglemount Wine & Cider
  • FairWinds Winery
  • Harbinger Winery
  • Marrowstone Vineyards
  • Olympic Cellars
  • Port Townsend Vineyards
    • All are paired with creations from five local confectioners!

In between sampling chocolate and wine, spend some time at the photo booth taking selfies, or listening to one of the local Jazz Bands performing on the Red Wine & Chocolate stage. It will be a day of wine, chocolate, music, and stories. Visit all of the wineries’ booths and try something new. All of the wines and chocolate will be available for purchase at the event.

One example of what to expect is that Olympic Cellars will release one of their Lodge Series wines created for Olympic National Park’s Lake Quinault Lodge, the Winemaker’s Red Blend. This Cabernet heavy Bordeaux blend is smooth with flavors of woodland berries, dark cherry, and spicy mixed peppercorns. It is fruit-forward with well-integrated tannins. Expect a soft, sumptuous finish with a hint of juicy pomegranate! It pairs beautifully with smooth dark chocolate.

They will also be pouring My Sweet Syrah – A Sweeter Style Red. Expertly combining their signature blend of Syrah and Riesling. This wine is a bit lighter than a varietal Syrah, lush and semi-sweet (3.5% residual sugar). A beautiful dessert wine or just for sipping. And it’s dangerous with chocolate. “The sweetness of the wine lingers on your lips like a first kiss”.
