Grinnell College's Rural Education Summit (April 4-5, 2014) Registration Form
The Rural Education Summit is a 2-day conference exploring the contemporary issues and challenges facing K-12 rural schools. Session topics include, but are not limited to: meeting the needs of minority students,the costs and benefits of school consolidation, the importance and difficulty of recruiting teachers, the growth of technology as an essential part of the classroom experience, learning and teaching in an Indian Settlement School, and helping students with disabilities succeed at rural schools. While the Keynote Lecture on Friday, April 4th at 4:15 PM in Herrick Hall by  Dr. Kai Schafft (Penn State University's Center on Rural Education and Communities) will be free and open to the public, the conference itself does require a registration fee to attend.

Because we want this conference to be affordable to all constituencies and because we consider it to be of the utmost importance that undergraduate and graduate students and K-12 teachers be able to attend, we have chosen to do a tiered approach to the registration costs. The registration fee will cover the cost of a provided buffet-style hot lunch on Friday, coffee breaks both days, a continental breakfast Saturday morning, and a sandwich-and-sides buffet on Saturday.

All Undergraduate and Graduate Students Pricing:
One Day Attendance: $20
Both Days Attendance: $30

K-12 Faculty and Staff Pricing:
One Day Attendance: $35
Both Days Attendance: $50

Higher Education Faculty and Staff Pricing:
One Day Attendance: $45
Both Days Attendance: $55

Early Registration Payments should be received by Monday, March 10, 2014. All other payments are due by Monday, March 31, 2014.
