We run a self managed houseless shelter in Portland Oregon.
We call it a rest area, where unhoused people can sleep safely for
up to 12 hours at a time. R2DToo also provides a much needed place
to use the toilet, drink some water and access donations of food,
hygiene products, and clothing.

Our model is incredibly lean, costing less then $1 per safe rest.
We are 100% volunteer run and have provided a safe haven for
unhoused Portlanders since 2011.

Most of our operational expenses come from people just like you!

Our approximate monthly expense break down:

Port-a-potties - $1,000
Garbage service - $650
Laundering sleeping bags - $600
Supplies and maintenance - $200
Water and Electric - $200
Phone and Internet - $100
Propane heat (winter only)- $300
Liability insurance - $225
