Open The Paths 2024: The Rides Not Taken

An Open Data and Transportation Equity Conference

The University of Washington’s Transportation Data Equity Initiative (TDEI) will host the 5th annual OpenThePaths conference from April 25-26, 2024. This year we will focus on “The Rides Not Taken”, highlighting how transportation inequalities affect people and communities. We’ll explore how these inequalities lead some individuals and groups to limit their use of transportation systems or even avoid them altogether. These disparities impact many areas of life, including health, education, and socio-economic status.

The conference highlights continued work of the TDEI, partners and developers working on transportation data collection and data standardization, with a particular focus on information relating to sidewalks, transit centers and paratransit services. Further, this conference aims to advance TDEI work through collaboration and informed discussion with community partners.
