NYPIRG Internship Application Spring 2022
Welcome to the internship application for NYPIRG at Brooklyn College! This internship will prepare you to be an active leader in your community. Through workshops and hands-on experience, you will learn how to conduct outreach, build coalitions, improve your public speaking skills, and build a professional network. Interns will have the opportunity to take lead on one of our six campaigns and coordinate events and actions, including hosting rallies, meeting with elected officials and gathering thousands of signatures for petitions.

Our internship offers one-on-one support with weekly check-in calls with a Project Coordinator (PC). You will meet students across the state through conferences, state-wide actions and project leader calls. This is a great opportunity to build up your research and event-planning skills, while developing relationships with other student leaders.

This is a for-credit internship, which means that the students accepted to the internship must complete the course work for POLS 3610 with Professor Ken Estey, in order to receive the 3 credits. The internship is 120 hours, which is approximately 8 hours per week. However, we are flexible and are willing to adjust your hours per week dependending on the rest of your course load (as long as you complete 120 hours by the end of the semester). The internship program runs for the duration of the Spring Semester (January 28, 2022 -  May 13, 2022).

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis.
