Imagine a race 30 miles long. To give some perspective, the Boston Marathon is just over 26 miles. Now, take the 30-mile race and add obstacles along the way — walls to climb, mud pits to slog through, monkey bars to traverse by hand, barbed wire to crawl under, a log to carry for part of the distance.

If you’re feeling exhausted just reading about it, you can imagine how someone might feel actually competing in it.
