WISER Lightbulb Drop E-Week (in person)

WISER's annual lightbulb drop will be held on Friday, February 19 from 12:45 PM - 2:45 PM in Thwing. This is the sign up sheet for the in person competition, if you would like to compete in the 'virtual' option fill out this form instead https://tinyurl.com/LightbulbDropOffCampus.

There will be three session about 30 minutes each with a limited number of slots per session. To make this as safe as possible we will not have teams (to prevent close contact) so everyone will compete individually; however, you can sign up for the same session with your friends. Everyone will have up to 20 minutes to build. You will design and construct a container meant to prevent one lightbulb from breaking (either glass or filament) when dropped from various increasing heights. You will be provided with one lightbulb and a bag of mystery supplies. No additional materials may be used in construction and prior planning is not permitted. Extra credit avaliable for ENGR 398.

First, second, third, and fourth place out of all 3 sessions combined will win $100, $75, $50, $25 visa gift cards, respectively and a box of gourmet chocolate. Prizes are provided by the Case Alumni Association!
