KyAEA Preservice Division PechaKucha Proposal
Do you have something exciting that you would like to share with your peers? Consider presenting in the Preservice Division PechaKucha session at the 2023 KyAEA Conference which will be hosted on November 4-5 at Thomas More University. Student conference registration is $50. Presentations could include topics such as undergraduate and graduate research, community outreach programs, lesson plan ideas, student chapter experiences, and more!
When creating your presentation proposal, keep in mind that PechaKucha (Japanese for “chit chat,” ) is a visual storytelling format in which 20 slides are displayed for 20 seconds each, for a total presentation time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. You may also choose to format using 10 slides displayed for 40 seconds each. Your presentation will be followed by a 3 min Q&A. This format gives participants the opportunity to hear a variety of presentations and learn about multiple topics. You will be expected to submit your slides for the presentation by Oct. 13. All presenters must stay for the duration of the session and participate in the other sessions while not presenting.
Interested undergraduate and graduate students should submit a proposal to Susie Trejo Williams through this form by Oct 13, 2023. There is a limit of three presenters per application. Presenters are selected based on the quality of the description of the presentation. Notifications of acceptance will be distributed by Oct 25.
