Confirmation Retreat in HIBBING  - March 2017
Thank you for choosing to register your student for the Diocesan Confirmation Retreat at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hibbing, MN.  The retreat will be held Friday, March 24 - Saturday, March 25, 2017.  Students MUST attend the ENTIRE retreat (no arriving late or leaving early either day - NO EXCEPTIONS).  Please arrive for check-in between 6:15PM and 6:45PM.  Retreat begins at 7:00PM.  Please bring completed Parent/Legal Guardian Permission Slips with you to the retreat, along with payment and Parish Check-In Form.  One check from each parish is requested.

Registration deadline is March 10 (or until capacity is reached).  Capacity is 150 students.

Students attending a Diocese of Duluth parish are given first priority in case retreat reaches capacity of 100 students before the deadline.
Chaperone Information
Each parish must provide a chaperone.  You must have additional chaperone(s) over 8 students.

     Up to 8 students: 1 chaperone
     9-16 students: 2 chaperones
     17-24 students: 3 chaperones
     25-32 students: 4 chaperones
     33-40 students: 5 chaperones
     Etc.

The chaperone must be 21 years of age or older and be confirmed. It is the responsibility of the parish to ensure that chaperones have completed Online Youth Protection Training at www.dioceseduluth.org/Sa by at least two weeks prior to the retreat so a background check has time to process.  The chaperone is required to be present throughout the entire retreat (including overnight).  The DRE and/or Youth Minister is the ideal chaperone, plus enough confirmed adults to fulfill the 1:8 ratio.

Confirmation Retreats are aimed at current 11th graders preparing for Confirmation in 11th or 12th grade.  All 11th & 12th graders are given first priority in case retreat reaches capacity before the deadline.  Any 9th graders are not able to register.
