Piloting Community-Driven Traffic Safety Solutions - East Oakland RSVP
In December, Councilmember Carroll Fife introduced legislation to establish a 3-year pilot program that allows schools, businesses, and community centers that serve vulnerable populations to apply for temporary encroachment permits to install removable traffic safety treatments and create traffic calming zones in the city’s streets.

In order to develop this pilot so it truly serves Oaklanders, there will be two public community meetings to gather information from residents and community based organizations to assess their interest and ability to participate in the pilot program. The form below is to RSVP for the East Oakland meeting. If you would prefer to RSVP to the West Oakland meeting on Saturday March 2nd, the form is here.

The East Oakland community meeting will be co-sponsored with Councilmembers Treva Reid and Kevin Jenkins.

When: Saturday February 24th, 2024. 10am-12pm.

Where: 81st Avenue Library, 1021 81st Ave, Oakland, CA 94621
