Details about the event
Dr. Michael Doran was the beloved principal of Thomas S. Wootton High School for 12 years.  He was a huge soccer fan and supporter of all athletics.  Tragically, Dr. Doran passed away in the summer of 2015.  To continue the tradition he established of excellence in athletics and to support all of the athletics teams at Wootton, we are happy to host the Second Annual Dr. Michael Doran Memorial Golf Tournament.

Why: This event is a fundraiser for the Wootton High School Athletics Department and Wootton Booster Club.  All proceeds will directly benefit all athletics teams at Wootton High School.
Who: Open to all
What(Format): Golfers playing in teams of four will compete in a scramble style tournament, also known as "Captain's Choice".  Each golfer hits a ball from the same location, the team decides on the best shot, then all golfers go to the location of the best shot and take their next shot.  The process continues until the hole is completed.  This format is great for golfers of all skill levels!
When: Saturday, October, 5th, 2019 - Tentative 8:30 a.m. Shotgun Start
Where: Blue Mash Golf Course, 5821 Olney-Laytonsville Road Laytonsville, MD 20882
