Registration will open at 7:30 am. Registrants will receive an
event booklet with temp cache coordinates at that time.
Temporary caches may be done at the participant's leisure.
The booklet will also be available for printing from the Westmoreland Conservancy's cache page
An all day geocaching event including:
Temporary caches - Please limit yourself to ONE collectible card
per temp cache
Temporary caches just for kids - Please limit yourself to ONE toy
per child per cache. There are no collectible cards in the kids'
caches
Timed geocaching competition (Ages 12+. limited space, registration
that day is required)
Speakers throughout the day
Geocaching craft table
Intro to geocaching hikes (limited space,registration that day is
required)
Naturalist led hikes,
and culminating in a picnic and raffle at 5:30 pm.
Please RSVP with the number of attendees (so we have enough
food) and what you are planning on bringing (not required, but
gratefully accepted as this event relies on donations).
You may wish to bring your own portable chairs
Although you may attend any of the activities and hunt the
temporary caches without a reservation, you MUST RSVP by May
19th in order to attend the picnic.
Townsend park is handicapped accessible.
Temporary caches will requires some hiking along well marked
trails.
