The four Wayfaring Traveler books are all about storytelling, ancestral, historical, the riveting present moment, the prescient. The author was fortunate to grow up in a family of great storytellers, generations of them, with welcoming laps! Since childhood, she has listened rapt to mentors, and to strangers who recount their life stories. And she has pretty good verbal memory for pacing, accents and dialect. When read aloud, the books are especially satisfying, and to all ages. A former organic farmer, teacher, and world traveler, she writes about history, community, earth changes and hegemony, truth-tellers, tyranny, and earth-friendly futures. You'll find amusing professional youtube vids of the author reading aloud at her book site: www.wayfaringtraveler.com Blessed and cursed with a lightning-struck life, Wayfarer has honed her skills by listening to amazing characters, reading aloud to children, classical singing, and small time big roles: Lady M. in the so-called "Scottish Play," Kate in "Taming of the Shrew," and Aldonza/ Dulcinea in "Man of La Mancha." Be advised: Google blocked author access to the wayfaringtraveler and feastandfamine blogspot sites two years ago, so no new anecdotes or shots across the bow! Wayfarer lives near Taos, NM in the high country of the American Southwest, a hotbed of creativity.
