Mellie Callahan’s Attraction is an emotional contemporary romance novel written in K. Bromberg’s Driven Worlds project.

A chance encounter leads to an attraction they can’t fight.

Drew
The House, these boys, are my family.

It might have started as just a job while I finish law school, but it’s grown to be more than a paycheck. I can help give them the stable childhood environment that I lacked growing up. After a lifetime of troublemaking, it’s a chance for redemption.

It’s also enough to keep my life more than full until an encounter with a princess at one of the outings for Corporate Cares knocks my priorities out of focus when I knock off her tiara.

Milla
I dress up as royalty at one of the happiest places on Earth, but I’m not the least bit happy struggling to make it in a Tinseltown that’s lost its glitter.

My move to escape the monotony of my small Texas town and step out of my older sister’s shadow by seeking super stardom hasn’t worked out quite the way that I thought it would. The only role I’ve been able to land in-between auditions and my part-time jobs is as an amusement park character.

It’s a crazy schedule that doesn’t allow for romance until a frightened little boy and his boyishly charming leader come charging into the park and cost me my job.

While their story may have fairy tale beginnings, it will be a fight for their happily ever after.

If you love strong heroines, flawed heroes, and love that heals, then you’ll love this passionate Driven World novel from Mellie Callahan.

Romance Writer. Animal Lover. Sports Fan. Travel Addict.

Mellie Callahan is a native Texas girl who loves Dr. Pepper all the time, the Houston Astros most of the time, and her furry friends most of all.

A alumna of Texas A&M University, Mellie has been reading and jotting down stories for most of her life. After years of starting and stopping with creating a story of her own, Mellie finally decided to give this writing thing a real try and her first contemporary romance novel, Ruff House, releases on January 24, 2018. She writes real, strong heroines and flawed, swoon-worthy heroes in stories that mix humor, heat, and heart for an unputdownable read.

When she’s not writing down all the voices in her head, Mellie loves planning her next biggest adventure, yelling at the Houston Texans, tending to her little garden, eating anything with sugar, playing trivia to win, and spending time with her family and friends. She currently lives in College Station, Texas with one very spoiled 70-pound-lapdog named Hank.

When Milla came to town she thought this would be the fresh start she needed but so far nothing has turned out as she planned. She is struggling professionally and financially and is not ready for someone like Drew to come into her life.

Drew is focused on his career as a lawyer and looking after the boys. Love and a relationship isn’t part of the plan, but sometimes the best things in life happen when you least expect it.

Although their journey wasn’t without its setbacks Milla and Drew are kindred souls who find a home in each other.

Attraction is the fifth book of Mellie’s I have read. And I am far from disappointed. Set within the K. Bromberg’s Driven World, Attraction also has a connection to Mellie’s Tradition, Texas Series. Though there is a connection, to both worlds this is a standalone. You do not need to read the Driven or Tradition, Texas Series to enjoy Attraction.
Milla doesn’t want to be bothered by a relationship. She has her own dreams and basically feels that having a personal life will not bring her any closer to her dream. Drew is basically feels the same about relationships. He has a heart of gold while persuading his own dreams. Both Drew and Mila have pasts that shaped who they are while keeping them blind to the possibilities that await them. Mellie has written both of them in a way that we see their successes and failures.
Attraction has a great storyline that draws you in from the very first page. As mentioned above, Attention brings together two different series to create one unique story that if filled with a wide variety of emotions.
I can’t recommend this book enough. Great characters, wonderful storyline, mixed with emotions and a steamy attraction. I received an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

Attraction is the first book that I've read from the new to me author Mellie Callahan, and I'm hooked. This story was a perfect addition to K. Bromberg's Driven World, and that world has pointed me to some very talented authors that I hadn't met yet.  Milla and Drew were two MCs who I feel for hard at the jump, and I didn't want their story to end.  However, I found myself turning the pages at breakneck speed which didn't help out with not wanting the book to end, but this story was impossible to put down for even a second.  Normally, I'm not a huge fan of anything Texas, but I believe I'll be traveling there in Ms. Callahan's world because I already crave needing to know more about this family. I didn't get into any detail because I promise, it's so much better going in blind so hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Milla has always had big dream, and her life isn't going as planned. The youngest of 2 who are way older she doesn't feel like she belongs anywhere. Trying to become something in the big world is really hard. Drew is a lawyer in training who works at the house and takes care of the boys. His love for those kids are like no other and his dream of helping others is at the touch of his fingers. When these two meet they butt heads for sure, but sometimes you need a friend to show you the ropes. As their relationship progresses their past lives become known. However how do you love someone and trust them enough to help you through the pain you feel? Drew and Milla were so sweet to read about.

I really enjoyed reading Attraction, and couldn’t put it down! There were so much emotions and demons in Drew and Milla’s lives and past, that you had to keep reading to find out what happened, and whether they can get past it. Drew is such a sweetheart, and I love how he “dated” Mila. As for Mila, I wasn’t really sure if I liked her at he beginning but she grew on me. Drew and Milla had great chemistry together that make for some steamy scenes, hot enough to melt your panties off. Overall, this book was extremely enjoyable to read and is a great addition to my library.

I received an advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.

Milla and Drew's story is one of my favorite on the Driven World series. They had great chemistry and the author did a nice job making them interesting and relatable. I also thought the story was nicely paced and entertaining.

One of my favorite things about the Driven World series is getting to try new authors. I had not read any books by Mellie Callahan before, but definitely want to try her other series now.

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.

I found Ms. Callahan through the Driven World. I won her first three books and I can’t wait to read them. Especially now after I’ve read Attraction! I’m so so glad I got to read an early copy of this book! I fell so so hard for Drew and Milla. And this story! I wanted to read this book as fast as I could but also savor it because I just didn’t want it to end! Ms. Callahan will be an automatic one click author for me from here on out! And my tbr is being shifted so I can go visit Texas! I can’t wait for more from this amazing author that I’m so very glad I found!

I'm not sure where to start with this book so I will keep it short and to the point.
This story was utter perfection. I laughed, the chemistry was brilliant and the characters and storyline were so perfectly written I couldn't get enough. A fantastic story.

Such a great read!

This was my first read by Mellie and I absolutely loved it! The characters are fantastic. I fell hard for them as individuals, and as a couple. It truly felt like Mellie knew them deeply and they just come to life on the page. I read the book twice and I can't even tell you how many times she had me laughing out loud, even on the second read!

The pacing of the story is perfect. I never felt like anything was rushed and everything felt authentic to the characters.

I'll certainly be picking up more of Mellie's books soon!

While this is a standalone book I felt like maybe I should have read Driven by K Bromberg first for better understanding of some of the characters we met... nonetheless this was still an Ok read.

*************

Milla Jelinek wanted to make it big in Hollywood... she dropped out of college, left her family and left Texas seeking a life of glitz and galmour.... at least that's what she thought she would find; but reality is a hard pill to swallow when you're not scoring acting jobs and have no call backs. Milla finds herself working 3 jobs and trying to make ends meet.

The day she gets fired from one of her jobs is the day she meets Drew Harbison a final year law student working with Corporate Cares an organisation for orphaned children... with the weight of the world on her shoulders Milla and Drew don't get off to a good start and she finds herself pouring out all her misplaced anger on Drew who only wanted to meet the "princess".

Eventually Milla ends up working with Drew... She fights the attraction, but is it really that her fears are overcoming her? Milla won't settle for anything less than success and while she likes Drew maybe he's just a temporary occupant in her life? Her friends think otherwise and when push comes to shove Milla is ready to just walk away, but is Drew going to let her?

*********

To be honest I didn't like the heroine of this story at all. She was rude, self centered and arrogant and that put me off completely... everything was about her, her her... but Drew and the supporting crew were the best. Middle of the road read.

Attraction by Mellie Callahan is set in K. Bromberg's Driven World series and you need to get your hands on this STAT, so you can be sucked in just like I was, devouring it and barely coming up for air or water!

How can you not fall in love with Milla from the very first page?! She has such ambition, so much love to give, a lot to fight for, and yet from there, it's about finding out what she truly wants, and whether she can make that happen, and trust in herself and it.

And Drew? Sweet steamy goodness, he is utterly delicious on the page! He's got a hidden chip on his shoulder, yet is still one of the most caring men I've ever met on the page. He's a good friend, and has a whole lot of feelings that he just doesn't always know how to express in the best way.

You'll be getting on an emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey with this story, and it is WORTH IT!

Attraction is a delightful slow-burn that will keep your attention as the characters weave their story, the tension, the emotion, the angst, and all of the FEELS making it one heck of a worthwhile ride!

I am loving that these spinoffs of the driven world are introducing me to so many amazing new authors! Mellie is an author that I will definitely be reading more of, because holy crap did I enjoy this book so much!!

So both Milla and Drew are anti-relationship and are hyper focused in their individual careers. While they are both truly amazing people, they just don't think falling in love is worth the fallout. But I couldn't help feeling so connected with these characters. This is a definite slow burn which I loved!! I wasn't expecting this story to be so emotional, but I just loved every single page!!

I can't recommend this book enough!!

Attraction

I was wondering how Mellie was going to handle Milla's story and it's a page turner. I wasn't a Milla can from the previous stories a I was interested to see how her character developed. Mellie created the perfect partner for her in Drew, I liked the man even though I felt like hitting him over the head for his stupidity. I needed a few tissues for this story.
A well told story with interesting side characters.

Milla and Drew sucked me in from the beginning. Their story is sweet and was fun and I found myself smiling most of the time while reading. There is some angst and a little drama but it doesn't take away from the characters and their chemistry.

it was ... average for the most part but there were parts where I was really impressed with conversations/ issues brought up. Drew as the Hero grew on me, I could stand him for the first 30% but I absolutely liked him 85% in, so developed yay!

I loved Milla and Drew’s story but the best part was the way the author subtly mentioned a few things with out names
