My Week 42 featured the NC State Fair, so if you’re looking for the people pictures for the week, you can find them starting here. I got to Salisbury for a meeting during the week and picked up a few shots there. It’s a great old train town (and the home of Cheerwine). The Mission-Style station was built in 1908 and restored in the 1980s and ’90s. Grimes Mill was a roller mill built in the late 1800s. It is now preserved as a historic site.
The beach pictures are from a roll of film that got left in a camera (Nikonos III) this summer. The timing is rather sad. The pier seen in the background, the Avalon, sustained heavy damage when Hurricane Sandy passed along North Carolina’s Outer Banks yesterday. Sections of it are now missing.
