well, herbie took her on (exposing her propensity for falsehood) and if i am not
mistaken HE is the one she started accusing of "stalking"...somewhere he
compiled a nice little list of some of her "handles" that she favors.

as for gwen's opinion, i think that she is missing the point. yes, although this
is an unmoderated forum and we are all free to do/say/act whatever/however, most
people still like to abide by some type of netiquette. carol is known as a bit
of a  nuisance poster, sort of like when children/teens get involved in
internet discussions for no reason other than to satisfy their own need to grab
attention and be annoying. so the point here is not that she should NOT use fake
names, just that she should NOT keep changing them. her persistent excuse for
doing this used to be "oh, i dont want to get spammed". only we all know that
the only way to not get spammed is to have a fake email address. which she
already knows and uses. having a gazillion fake names wont make a bit of a
difference. all it DOES is keep her posts from getting ignored as much as we
would like. (and obviously isnt concerned about changing her identitiy as her
posts remain in her usual "format" and she still signs her name to them (carol)
and adds her quackwatch plug on everyone.) so the issue here is, i suppose,
netiquette--or lack of it.

it has been said to carol by many different posters on many different occassions
that they no longer wish to waste their time with her and so are going to put
her in their filter to delete/ignore her posts.  it would appear to be THAT is
the only reason she changes her name, and is what this poster is calling her on.

to "webmaster", i know it sucks when she changes her name and we get suckered
into reading some more of her drivel, but to spend any more of your time and
energy trying to get her to stop will probably just egg her on, unfortunately.

for someone who is (supposedly) as old she is (60-something?) she is having a
grand ole time acting like a petulant teenager. i guess we just have to do our
best to keep trying to ignore her.......
