Current Goal

Our Alaska Snow Tracker wants to go home, but it is in no particular hurry to get there.

Update July 22, 2006 -- Well, it only took this vehicle a little over four years, but thanks to Kidonfire, this becomes our first ever TB to actually get to where we wanted it to go! We'd love to have it (and us) see more of Alaska. It's the only state we've never visited. But if you take it somewhere else, that's fine with us, too.

About This Item

We found this matchbox car and thought it would be fun to place it in a cache to see if and how it wends its way to the 49th state. Now that it's there, we hope it will travel more around the state, but wherever it goes is okay, as long as it keeps going.

Lesson learned (1): We would advise geocachers to avoid using travel bugs as a means of delivering time-sensitive documents.

Lesson learned (2): Never give up on a travel bug!

We've attempted to contact the cacher that last retrieved this TB, but we've received no response. We suspect they are out of the game and have taken it out of the game with them, so we're regretfully marking this as gone missing. It's a shame, because this was on the road for a long time....
