Aldridge/Alldredge

Family Research Site

Sponsored by Tony Alldredge and M. Gene Aldridge

Introduction

Welcome to the Aldridge Family Research website. We have worked hard to allow our many Aldridge and Alldredge relatives to join us in this endeavor. Our hope is that many of you will begin to send your abbreviated family lines to us and then, later, the longer versions for inclusion in this website. There are many Aldridge/Alldredge/Aldrich families in the USA. One branch, we call the New England branch and their name was primarily Aldrich. Another branch is the Nicholas Aldridge (b. 1633, d. 1 Nov 1708 in MD) lineage from which many of us have descended. From the Nicholas Aldridge group in Maryland, there were several migrations South and West. One group went South to the Carolinas and then on to Georgia, and across to Texas. A second group went to Tennessee and Kentucky across the Cumberland Gap. Still another group went from North Carolina on the Ohio River and up the Wabash River to Southern Indiana (Posey County) and Illinois (White County). We invite all Aldridge/Alldredge/Aldrich family groups to join us by contacting us.

Our vision is to develop a website that will assist each new generation in their quest for family linkages, provide ongoing communication to correct our mutual records, eventually have family meetings, and create a cyber environment that will take us all into the future together. In order to begin this effort, we encourage you to send us your abbreviated family lines as outlined by Tony Alldredge and M. Gene Aldridge at this site. Review their lines and send us your family lines in the same format for inclusion. Eventually, we will offer other options also, but for now, abbreviated listings are most important. Carol Fawson, Tony Alldredge's daughter, is our website director. We encourage you to contact us for additional family information. Most importantly, it is really an enjoyable experience getting to know all of you and your families. Join us, and help us make this work for all our families, born and unborn.
