Sevantibhai Shah, founder and chairman of leading diamond manufacturer Venus Jewel was the recipient of the Anmol Ratna award at the National Jewellery Awards function organized by the All India Gem & Jewellery Trade Federation. The award was given away by Bachhraj Bamalwa, Chairman, GJF and Sanjay Kothari, Vice Chairman, GJEPC.

The Anmol Ratna Award is a recognition of the veteran diamantaire’s invaluable contribution to the industry.

Last year Sevantibhai was also felicitated by the Gujarat government for his outstanding contributions to the city of Surat and the state.

Venus Jewel has not only established itself as a leading diamond company, but was also the subject of a management case study by the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, and has won praise for being one of the few companies in Gujarat that did not lay off workers during the recession of 2009.
