The following shows part of my experience with Rebazar Tarzs.

[....]

I AM is the self-definition of the absolute, the foundation on which
everything rests. I AM is the first cause-substance. I AM is the self-
definition of God.

I AM has sent me unto you.

I AM THAT I AM

Be still and know that I AM God.

I AM is a feeling of permanent awareness. The very center of
consciousness is the feeling of I AM. I may forget who I am, where I
am, what I am, but I cannot forget that I AM. The awareness of being
remains, regardless of the degree of forgetfulness of who, where, and
what I am.

I AM is that which, amid unnumbered forms, is ever the same. This
great discovery of cause reveals that, good or bad, man is actually
the arbiter of his own fate, and that it is his concept of himself
that determines the world in which he lives [and his concept of
himself is his reactions to life].*In other words, if you are
experiencing ill health, knowing the truth about cause, you cannot
attribute the illness to anything other than to the particular
arrangement of the basic cause-substance, an arrangement which [was
produced by your reactions to life, and] is defined by your concept "I
am unwell." This is why you are told "Let the weak man say, 'I am
strong' " (joel 3:10), for by his assumption, the cause-substance - I
AM - is rearranged
and must, therefore, manifest that which its rearrangement affirms.
This principle governs every aspect of your life, be it social,
financial, intellectual, or spiritual.

I AM is that reality to which, whatever happens, we must turn for an
explanation of the phenomena of life. It is I AM's concept of itself
that determines the form and scenery of its existence. Everything
depends upon its attitude towards itself; that which it will not
affirm as true of itself cannot awaken in its world. That is, your
concept of yourself, such as "I am strong," "I am secure," "I am
loved, " determines
the world in which you live. In other words, when you say, " I am a
man, I am a father, I am an American," you are not defining different
l AMs; you are defining different concepts or arrangements of the one
cause-substance - the one I AM.
Even in the phenomena of nature , if the tree were articulate it would
say , "I am a tree, an apple tree, a fruitful tree. "

When you know that consciousness is the one and only reality -
conceiving itself to be something good, bad, or indifferent, and
becoming that which It conceived itself to be - you are free from the
tyranny of second causes, free from the belief that
there are causes outside of your own mind that can affect your life.

In the state of consciousness of the individual is found the
explanation of the phenomena of life. If man's concept of himself were
different, everything m his world would be different. His concept of
himself being what it is, everything in his world must be as it is.

"I AM is a feeling of permanent awareness. This feeling is the very
center of consciousness and is the feeling of the ITness. I may forget
who I am, where I am, what I am, but I cannot forget that I AM IT, WHO
IS. The awareness of Being remains regardless of the degree of
forgetfulness as to who, where, and what I am.

"The SUGMAD is that which, amid unnumbered forms, is ever the same.
The great discovery of cause reveals that, good or bad, man is
actually the arbiter of his own fate, and that it is his own concept
of himself that determines the world in which he lives. In other
words, if you are experiencing ill health, knowing the truth about

which is defined by your concept of it.

"This is why I told you before, 'Let the weak man say, "I am strong."
'because of his assumption, the cause-substance of I AM is rearranged
and must therefore, manifest that which its rearrangement affirms.
This principle governs every aspect of your life, be it social,
intellectual, or spiritual.

"I AM is that reality to which we must turn for an explanation of the
phenomena of life, whatever happens. It is getting away from the smug
mediocrity, the credulous skepticism, and thr stupid, stuffy pretense
of being something we are not. It is I AM's concept of Itself that
determines the form and scenery of Its existence. Everything depends
upon Its attitude towards Itself: that which It will not affirm as
true of Itself cannot awaken in Its world.

"Remember this statement, for it will come up time and again. Now,
your concept of yourself as Soul, such as 'I am loved,' determines the
world in which you live. In other words, when you say, 'I am a man; I
am a follower of ECKANKAR,' you are not defining different parts of
the l AM, ; but defining different concepts or arrangements of the one
cause-substance - the one I AM. Even in the phenomena of nature, if
the tree were articulate, it would say, 'I am a tree, a fruit tree, an
apple tree.'

"When you know that consciousness is the one and only reality -
perceiving Itself to be something good, bad, or indifferent and
becoming that which It perceives Itself to be - you are free from the
tyranny of second causes, free from the belief that
there are causes outside of your own mind that can affect your life.

"Within the state of consciousness of the individual is found the
explanation of the phenomena of life. If man's concept of himself were
different, everything in his world would be different. His concept of
himself being what it is, everything in his world must be as it is.

"This is the doctrine of ECKANKAR. Is it clear?" [....]

Such occurrences of words purportedly by Rebazar Tarzs are not
uncommon in my experience, and illustrate a written record of Paul
Twitchell's Rebazar Tarzs.

I illustrate these things because some people are unaware. As once was
I. And yet this record is an important historical document.

Harold Klemp, the current leader of Eckankar - in his "Introduction"
for The Key to ECKANKAR - begins thus:

"First printed in 1968, The Key to ECKANKAR was one of the early
books that introduced people to that wonderful Tibetan ECK Master,
Rebazar Tarzs. His conversation with Paul is a historical document
that reflects Paul Twitchell's state of consciousness at that time."

ECKANKAR, Fifth Printing - 2003, p. 1.

That was a quote from the first paragraph of Introduction section. In
paragraph three Harold Klemp writes again about Rebazar Tarzs.

"In the first few pages, Rebazar talks interchangeably of the
SUGMAD (God) and the ECK (Holy Spirit). We know the difference between
the Source of all life, and ITS voice. Rebazar was referring to the
Divine principle that created our consciousness, and how it relates to
us here and now."

Based on" The Key to ECKANKAR, by Paul Twitchell, Copyright 1968, 1985
ECKANKAR, Fifth Printing - 2003, p. 1.

Not only does the Introduction by Harold Klemp include "Rebazar
talks ... ." It has also: "Rebazar was referring to ... ."

Is this Harold Klemp speaking for Rebazar Tarzs? or what Rebazar Tarzs
meant?

Note that Harold Klemp writes "In the first few pages, Rebazar talks
interchangeably of the SUGMAD (God) and the ECK (Holy Spirit)."

OK?

The first few pages of the book The Key to ECKANKAR that I quoted from
are pages 3, 4 and 5.

What I did not illustrate for this post were The Key to ECKANKAR pp.
3-4, or the 1st page of Neville's work. This can be added here as
well, or at least the part where Rebazar Tarzs begins to speak about
"God" and "Spirit" - compared with Chapter One, page 1, of Neville's
book.

I don't have time to prepare the rest of these illustrations right
now. However, I tag this post Mystique.
