This song pushes us forward in a way most cant describe. It is really inspires us to never quit no matter how bad it is. When applied to my running it makes the last mile of the race bearable.

The thing is, this song is so applicable to everyone...for different reasons. No one goes through life without struggling a little bit...This song is about struggling to make it above the metaphorical waves.

For Andrew, it was his cancer, for you its something else, for me its something else...But a song like this pushes you onwards and makes you realise that no matter what stands in your way, you need to keep 'swimming'...

As far as I'm concerned Andrew McMahon writes, sings and performs absolutely flawless songs. The day he wins his first accolade for his contribution to music I will be right there cheering him on. This song is incredible in every sense of the word...
