To help you keep yourself safe online, the AOL® software offers you the ability to hide images and disable the links in e-mail from people you do not know.

Enable Hide Images and Disable Links from Unknown Senders

When you select the Hide images & disable links in mail from unknown senders option, e-mail will be shown without images and links will be disabled if it is from senders not on your Buddy List® window or AOL® address book, except for Official AOL® Mail. You can disable this feature for a single e-mail by clicking the Show images & enable links link that will appear on the border of the e-mail.

To enable hide images and disable links from unknown senders:
1. Click the Mail menu, then click Mail Settings.
2. Click the Hide images & disable links in mail from unknown senders box to place a check mark in it.
3. Click the Save button.

Disable Hide Images and Disable Links from Unknown Senders

When you unselect the Hide images & disable links in mail from unknown senders option, all e-mail will be shown with images and active links.

To disable hide images and disable links from unknown senders:
1. Click the Mail menu, then click Mail Settings.
2. Click the Hide images & disable links in mail from unknown senders box to clear it.
3. Click the Save button.
