US Rebublican Sarah Palin wooed for $11m book deal

SHE failed to save John McCain from presidential election doom, but Sarah Palin, the losing Republican senator's controversial running mate, may yet emerge as an unlikely saviour of the US publishing industry.
Literary agents are queueing to sign Ms Palin to a book deal that could earn her up to $US7million ($10.8 million), The Australian reports.
With Barack Obama's election victory expected to generate dozens of books from politicians, strategists and journalists - and with another shelfload of memoirs expected from outgoing members of President George W.Bush's administration - Ms Palin's personal account of her tumultuous introduction to US politics is widely regarded as the tale most likely to repay a multi-million-dollar advance.
"She's poised to make a ton of money," said Howard Rubenstein, New York's best-known public relations adviser.

She has to be careful. There was a previous thread in which someone noted that it was against Alaskan law for her to make money based upon her position as governor. Not sure how the ethics laws pertain to her as VP candidate though.
The price was 7 million when I went to bed and now it’s 11 mil. Hang in there Sarah, the bidding has just started...
Obama has already sold his memoirs 3 times.

I wish somebody would offer me a book deal. I have lots of stories from my past. Most involve alcohol. One involves alcohol, a basement full of cattle, broken water lines, and a deaf friend.

Governor Palin prevented the “election” from being a landslide for Baracko. Without that 670 million dollars from Soros and his foreigner buddies and without rampant “voter” fraud, Baracko would have been just another bitter ‘RAT loser like Algore and Hanoi Boi Kerry.
Would be wise in the long run not to take the bait (If she decides to run for President). Dems can get away with this (As far as being a one day news cycle of questioning public servants ethics), just more ammunition for the press to feed on.
She should dedicate it to Katie Couric...with tips on how to be a good journalist!
ROTFL!! Yeah, a slick coffeetable book would suit me just fine... And it would go a long way to get me through the next several years.
Speaking of which, I'm printing a favorite photo or two on good paper to frame next to the stairs like we had W and Laura's pix so when liberal family members come they can hit the hay ill and have sleepless nights. Hey, it works...
